Hire a Skip in Burscough
People in Burscough who have waste to dispose of do not often hire skips, so they have a lot of questions to ask.
How big a skip do I need?
Calling a skip hire company to discuss is the best advice that we can give you. Allow plenty of room when it comes to size as you’ll find more waste once you start filling your Burscough skip!
As a rough guide: a Burscough house clearance can often be completed with a 4-tonne Midi Skip, but 8-tonne Maxi skip hire would be much better for a kitchen or bathroom refurbishment. An 8-Tonne Maxi Skip would be the ideal choice for Burscough building jobs and if you are building something really huge then consider a RORO skip!
How much can I fit in a skip?
So the skip hire company can safely transport your skip, do not fill it past the height indicated on the sides.
Can a skip be placed on the roadside?
Burscough Skips can only be put on the public highway in Burscough with a valid council permit. A good skip hire supplier can apply for the permit on your behalf.
How much space is needed to deliver the skip?
Burscough skip hire drivers are skilled at placing and retrieving skips and can do so in most spaces, but ask the company for advice if you need it to be placed somewhere that has restricted access.
What items can’t be put in the skip?
Generally, fridges and asbestos are not permitted.
