What size skip do I need?
Call us if you’re unsure – it’s best to allow a bit of leeway as you will always find you generate more waste than you expected to!
As an approximate guide: A four tonne Midi Skip is most popular for a kitchen or bathroom refit, small building job or big garden clearance, as they can take between 65 and 85 bin bags full of waste. Our 8-Tonne Skips are great for large building jobs, as they are capable of accommodating between 180 and 240 bin bags and we can even supply Roll-on/Roll-Off skips if you need them.
How much waste can be put in the skip?
Your skip may be filled only until the waste is level with the top – more and it will be unsafe to move it.
Can a skip go on the roads?
Skips are only allowed to be left on the public highway with a council permit. We can obtain a Local Authority permit on your behalf if you wish.
How much space will the driver need to unload the skip?
The vehicles that deliver our skips need plenty of space to unload safely. Our drivers are skilled at placing skips, but if access is going to be tight, please ask for our advice.
What can I put in the skip?
Car tyres, fridges and any form of asbestos are all forbidden, but otherwise, we take pretty much anything.
Will my waste be recycled?
Yes. All waste is recycled at a dedicated local recycling centre.
